What ingredients do you use in your soaps?

We take pride in crafting our products using carefully selected ingredients. Here are the main components we use:

- Base Oils and Butters: Our products feature a blend of nourishing base oils and butters. These include oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil, which provide moisturizing and cleansing properties. Butters like shea butter and cocoa butter contribute to their rich and luxurious texture, delivering deep hydration and skin conditioning benefits.

- Colours: Our colours are derived exclusively from plants. We use plant-based colorants, such as herbs, roots, petals, and botanical extracts, to add beautiful hues to our products. For some of our soaps, we infuse olive oil with with botanicals (calendula petals, alkanet, annatto, or paprika powder) for at least two months. This results in very vibrant and different colours compared to simply using these botanicals at the time of making soap, and make our soaps extra special. Please note that natural colours may fade over time due to their organic nature.

- Essential Oils: To create captivating scents, we incorporate only steam-distilled essential oils derived from plants. These oils not only lend delightful fragrances to our products but also offer potential therapeutic benefits for your senses and overall well-being.

- Water: Water is an essential component in our formulations, helping to create the desired consistency and aiding in the blending of ingredients. We distil our own water in our premises, as moving water in plastic containers from one place to another must be one of the silliest ideas humans have come up with (the Romans were already pretty good at moving fresh water around 2000 year ago!).

- Botanicals: We carefully select botanical ingredients to enhance the sensory experience and potential benefits of our products. Botanicals such as flowers, herbs, and fruit extracts may be included for their aromas, skin-soothing properties, or other targeted effects.

By thoughtfully combining these ingredients, we create products that cleanse and delight the senses. We prioritize using natural and sustainably sourced components to provide you with a truly enjoyable and skin-friendly experience.

**Olive Oil**: Olive oil is known for its moisturizing and nourishing properties. It helps to hydrate the skin, leaving it feeling soft and smooth. Olive oil is rich in antioxidants and contains vitamins A and E, which contribute to its rejuvenating effects.

**Coconut Oil**: Coconut oil is prized for its cleansing properties and ability to create a rich lather. It helps to remove impurities and dirt from the skin without stripping away its natural oils. Coconut oil is also known for its moisturizing benefits, leaving the skin feeling supple and hydrated.

**Cocoa Butter**: Cocoa butter is a luxurious and indulgent base oil that deeply moisturizes the skin. It forms a protective barrier that helps to retain moisture, making it particularly beneficial for dry or sensitive skin. Cocoa butter also has soothing properties and a delightful chocolate-like aroma.
